AvanceAgri is building an integrated agribusiness in Kinshasa — combining world-class operational discipline with cutting-edge technology to end the DRC's dependence on imported food.
Who We Are
AvanceAgri is an agribusiness company — Avance (French: forward) + Agri (Agriculture). Founded by two American engineers with field-proven African agribusiness experience, we are building Kinshasa's first vertically integrated poultry value chain: feed mill, hatchery, precision farming platform, and cold chain — one operation, one market, total control.
We are not a consulting firm. We are not a software company. We are a technology-driven agribusiness — operators who deploy cutting-edge technology as our operational edge. IoT, precision agriculture, and data engineering are how we run a better agribusiness. Our product is food. Our primary market is Kinshasa.
The Opportunity
Kinshasa is home to over 18 million people — the third-largest city in Africa and one of the fastest-growing urban populations on earth. Every day, the city's residents buy chicken imported from Brazil, South Africa, and Belgium, shipped thousands of miles across the ocean to fill a gap that should never have existed.
Our Projects
Both projects operate on shared infrastructure — the same solar array, the same IoT platform, the same buyers, the same cold chain. Two distinct products, one operational engine, one investment story.
An end-to-end vertically integrated poultry operation: commercial feed mill, hatchery, precision IoT farming platform, and owned refrigerated cold chain — powered by solar energy and built to displace Kinshasa's $200M+ annual import dependency.
Year-round fresh produce production for Kinshasa's 17M+ residents — engineered using data center-grade climate control, precision irrigation, and real-time IoT monitoring. Tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce, and more, independent of seasons.
Our Capabilities
Full energy independence through solar-plus-battery systems. No grid dependency, no production disruptions — operations run regardless of Kinshasa's power challenges.
Real-time IoT monitoring, automated alerts, and data-driven decision-making applied across flock health, feed conversion, and crop yield — enterprise-grade systems on agricultural operations.
Kinshasa's first commercial feed mill, sourcing grain locally through the Co-Founder's proven aggregation networks. Cuts input costs by 40% — the single most powerful lever in the entire value chain.
From grain sourcing to cold chain delivery, we own the full stack. No dependency on third-party infrastructure at any critical point. Total quality control, total margin control.
Built on the Co-Founder's documented commercial aggregation margins from Ghana and Uganda — not theoretical projections. Every number in our model has a field precedent.
US citizen founders, Delaware incorporated, US-sourced core equipment, AWS US-East platform. Every dimension of DFC's US nexus requirements is substantive and documented.
Our Vision
We are not building a single farm. We are building a replicable model — proven in Kinshasa, deployable across the continent. The same infrastructure, the same technology stack, the same operational playbook. New city, new market, same results.
Ground zero. 18M people. $200M+ import dependency. First integrated platform goes live.
Expand beyond Kinshasa into secondary DRC markets. Replicate the platform with proven unit economics.
Enter high-dependency markets across Central Africa — same model, new geographies, continental impact.
AvanceAgri becomes a continental agribusiness platform — feeding Africa from within, at scale.
Project Roadmap
Development Impact
Direct and indirect employment created — women and youth prioritized
Outgrower farmers with guaranteed offtake
Paid annually to Congolese smallholder grain farmers
Domestic poultry production target by Year 5
Women in management and outgrower leadership
Leadership
Led enterprise data center operations, IoT sensor integration, and real-time monitoring at scale. Designed the Precision Poultry and Greenhouse technology platforms. Leads investor relations, capital structure, and DFC reporting.
Former Microsoft Azure data engineer who simultaneously ran commercial maize aggregation in Ghana and Uganda — farmer sourcing networks, grain QC protocols, last-mile logistics. Achieved 18–22% margins in the field. Currently in Kinshasa establishing local partnerships, site leases, and buyer LOIs.
